December is the last month of the year. It’s the month of chaos for its first 23 days. It’s cold, and then it slips into the Holidays and BOOM Happy 2016!!! As fast as we prepared is as fast as it’s over. Are you ready for the holiday madness?
Now that we are into the swing of things (temperature wise), what plans do you have for your hair’s protection? Are you ready for sun? The damage that can be caused to your unprotected hair can be controlled! You just need to know a few simple things.
1) Wear a hat. This type of protection is the best and keeps the sun rays directly OFF your locks. You may be hot but your hair will thank you.
2) Try to use products that contain SPF. If you can’t wear a hat, this is the next best thing.
We had an in-salon class on Tuesday about consultations. We really focused on the things that need to happen when you meet a client for the first time. The way we had been conducting our ‘first-time’ experiences were okay, but not great. With the help of Kevin Murphy educator, Timothy Durant, we were able to learn how to better serve our clients.
This instagram image sparked a bit of controversy over the last weekend. It’s difficult to know how people feel about decor choices but as one disgruntled follower commented, we started to think that maybe some of you were also wondering. We are an Eco-friendly hair salon. We never said ever that we were vegans/vegetarians. We never once said that we don’t eat meat. What we have said is that we are a full service hair salon with an Eco-friendly edge. Cow hide rugs are in fact very Eco-friendly.
What do we have in Feb? Well there’s Valentine’s Day, (extreme cold) and we get a long weekend in honor of my man Louis Riel and extreme cold. There’s also the Festival Du Voyager and let’s not forget our birthday with a side of extreme cold…
Summer is officially here! What are your plans to keep the sun from frying you up? It’s one thing to protect your skin, but what about your hair? I recommend thing likes hats or scarves. Anything to keep your hair from the sun’s rays especially before 1 in the afternoon (the sun’s heat is more damaging in the morning than in the afternoon).
